“Empower Girls Today – Inspired Women Tomorrow” Sri Lanka Girl Guides Association – National Girl Guide Walk 2024

The Sri Lanka Girl Guides Association celebrated 107 years of proud service to the nation.
The national Girl Guide Walk 2024 was planned by the Guides & President’s Guides Award Sub-Committee of the Sri Lanka Girl Guides Association, to commemorate 107 years of service. The walk commenced in all the districts of Sri Lanka on May 18th at 7.30 a.m. with the participation of over 7000 members of the SLGGA. The walk was coordinated by the district commissioners and their teams in each district and it happened concurrently in all the districts.
The Chief Commissioner, Dr. Kushantha Herath, The Deputy Chief Commissioner, Mrs. Nirmalee William and the Assistant Chief Commissioner, Mrs. Nanduni Wickramatunga along with the members from all Branches, which includes Butterflies, Little Friends, Guides, Rangers, Guides from the Differently Abled Branch, Commissioners past and present and members of the National Executive Committee were all present at the Colombo district walk.
This was a wonderful display of solidarity, sisterhood and togetherness of the Girl Guides family around the island.
