“Every Picture Tells a Story”
The prize-giving and the awarding of certificates for the winners and participants of the Photography Contest 2024 was held at the SLGGA national headquarters on the 28th of September 2024. The chief guest at the event was Mr. Tharindu Amunugama, one of the honorary judges of the competition. The Chief Commissioner, Dr. Kushantha Herat, the Deputy Chief Commissioner, Mrs. Nirmalee William, the Assistant Chief Commissioner, Mrs. Nanduni Wickrematunga along with other sector commissioners were present at the event.
Happy and enthusiastic Little Friends, Guides, Rangers, Youth, and Adult Leaders who took part in the contest were present at this ceremony.
SLGGA says a heartfelt thank you to the honorary panel of judges, Mr. Ananda Jagoda, Mr. Ravindu Lakshan, and Mr. Tharindu Amunugama for accepting the invitation to be a part of the event.
This event was organized by the communications subcommittee of SLGGA.
SLGGA believes that these aspiring photographers will use this competition as a springboard and enjoy expressing their thoughts and ideas to make the world around them a better place.
